United Way's Day of Caring Expands to Year Round Assistance
The generosity of Swift Current residents is evident from the support the United Way receives from its regular fundraisers and awareness campaigns. The Day of Caring which has been held for one week in June is now expanding to year long support for any agency needing assistance with odd jobs or other tasks at their facility. Such is the case with a bathroom renovation at the Canadian Mental Health Branch which will be undertaken by volunteers from Innovation Credit Union this fall. Any new agencies requiring assistance with on site projects are asked to contact the Swift Current United Way office.
