Tyler Steenbergen Signed by Arizona Coyotes
The Swift Current Broncos have announced that the Arizona Coyotes have signed Broncos' forward Tyler Steenbergen to a three year entry level contract. This season, Steenbergen has led the charge for a Swift Current Broncos team that currently owns the WHL's second best record, staying atop the overall standings throughout the season. In 51 games, Steenbergen has 98 points (44g-54a) and a plus-52 rating. Of his 44 goals, nine of them came via the power play, one shorthanded and seven game winners. Hailing from Sylvan Lake, AB, 20 year old Steenbergen was named the WHL's Player of the Month in September/October and passed the 40-goal plateau for the second straight season. Steenbergen joins the same NHL club as former Bronco Lane Pederson who signed with the Coyotes last season as a free agent.
