Speeding & Agressive Driving in the Spotlight
Policing agencies across the province will be on the look out for drivers exceeding the posted speed limit during the April Traffic Blitz. Excessive speed is one of the leading factors in traffic-related deaths and injuries. In 2016, 22 people died in speed-related crashes on Saskatchewan roads. Another 579 were injured. Motorists are also reminded that speeding fines are set to go up on May 1.The base fine on all speeding tickets will increase by $30 and the km/h charge for traveling in excess of the posted speed will double.
