South Railway Bridge Construction
Motorists will be dealing with detours in the coming weeks as work begins on the South Railway Bridge. Swift Current Mayor and Council have awarded a contract of $505,560.12 to PCL Construction Management Ltd. to upgrade the bridge. Work will include removing and replacing the asphalt surface, installation of a waterproofing membrane, replacing the expansion joints and performing concrete repairs on the existing abutment, piers and decks.
Mitch Minken, General Manager of Infrastructure and Operations indicates the City has been planning work on the South Railway Bridge since 2012.
