Saskatchewan Producers Hope for Rain in the Forecast
With 94 percent of the annual crop now seeded across the province, Saskatchewan producers are hoping for more moisture to assist with the process. According to the latest crop report from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, topsoil moisture conditions are deteriorating in many Southern areas of the province. Windy conditions and a lack of moisture are drying up fields and delaying crop maturity. Hay yields are a concern for the Southeast area if rain is not received in the near future.
