Provincial Government Seeks Your Input on Cannabis Legalization
The provincial government is asking for your opinion on the legalization of marijuana and hopes you'll participate in a survey now through October 6.
The legalization of cannabis represents a big change, Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said. We want to take the time to listen to and consult with the people of this province to ensure we implement the parts of this legislation that are under our control in a way that works for Saskatchewan.
Topics in the survey include parts of the federal legislation that have been left up to the provinces, such as: age limits on cannabis sales; public consumption; taxation on cannabis sales; distribution and wholesaling;
potential retails models, locations and rules;
regulatory compliance and the enforcement of the modified impaired driving laws.
If you're 18 years of age or older and a resident of Saskatchewan, you can complete the anonymous survey at www.saskatchewan.ca/cannabis.
