Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory for Highland Subdivision
As of 9am Today, the City of Swift Current in conjunction with the Water Security Agency has issued a Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory to properties located in ZONE 1 and part of ZONE 2 Swift Current. The impacted areas are Highland and Trail Subdivisions, described as all properties north of the TransCanada Highway and west of Central Avenue/Highway 4, excluding industrial properties west of Highland Subdivision. Generally, these advisories remain in effect for 48-72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. Due to the high number of impacted properties, notices WILL NOT be placed on front doors in these neighborhoods.
The Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory was put in place as a result of depressurization of the water distribution system, and will be lifted by the Water Security Agency following the pressurization of the system and the receipt of two consecutive sets of negative samples from the City.
