Power Rates Set to Increase March 1
Starting March 1 Swift Current residents will see an average 3.5% power rate increase on their utility bill. The rate hike follows SaskPower receiving approval from the province for an increase to all of its customers.
Here in Swift Current the rate hike means apartment dwellers will see an increase of $2.60/month, $2.25/month for the average home and $5,70 for a large residence. Meanwhile, commercial customers will face an average increase of 3.5% on their total annual billing.
