Nominations Accepted for the Celebrate Canada 150 Medal
David Anderson, Member of Parliament for Cypress Hills-Grasslands is proud to recognize Canada’s 150th Birthday by honouring citizens with the Celebrate Canada 150 Medal.
Our country is strong because our communities are strong, said Anderson. I want to celebrate the people of Cypress Hills-Grasslands who have been community builders and have brought people together. It has always been a tradition for the Government of Canada to issue a commemorative medal to celebrate Canada’s milestones. These medals provide Canadians the opportunity to recognize each other for their contributions to community and country. Unfortunately, the Liberal government is not issuing a medal on Canada's sesquicentennial. For some reason on this 150th birthday of Canada, the Trudeau Liberals refused to issue a medal for Canadians, said Anderson. However, several MPs have decided that if they won't do it, we will. I encourage you to nominate someone for the Cypress Hills-Grasslands Celebrate Canada 150 Medal.
Nominations will be accepted until September 15 in the following categories: Nation Builders,
Tomorrow's Canada, Bridge Builders and Newcomers Building Canada.
