Harvest on Track Across Southwest Saskatchewan
Mild and dry conditions continue assist Saskatchewan producers with the annual harvest. 26 percent of the crop is now in the bin, well ahead of the five year average of 16 percent combined. 24 percent of the crop is swathed or ready to straight-cut. Harvest is most advanced in the Southwest with 49 percent of the crop is now combined. The Southeastern has 37 percent combined, 23 percent in the West-central region and 14 percent for the East-central region 14 percent. Meanwhile, the Northeast has 4 percent combined, while the Northwest region has 5 percent of the crop in the bin.
